A beautiful day, but a busy Saturday left me with the options of no ride, or ride indoors. I've been sidelined again for several days as my sinus problems have now blown the month of June apart for me. The weather's been very poor the last couple of weeks (cold, rainy) so I guess if I have to suffer unplanned downtime, this makes it a bit better. Went to the doctor on Friday and things seem to be getting better. He was more concerned with my asthmatic symptoms and making sure I stay on top of that. Ironically, although I have had some minor coughing on and off a bit, it's been very loose and hasn't seemed problematic to me.
Anyhow, it was 80+ degrees in the attic so I had the fan blasting. Really felt I was struggling towards the end of this workout and the heart data clearly indicates I was working pretty hard today. At one point I saw a heart rate of 187bpm which is the highest I've ever seen it by a couple of beats Hopefully that's a function of the heat, layoff and drugs and not me trying to restart too soon...which I honestly don't think is the case. |
