This was an extension of the 70 mile ride I did about a month ago. It was a similar day with the winds a bit slower and the temperature a few degrees cooler, but yet it had a higher heat index. I flew the first 2/3rds of this ride, but with the heat, humidity and wind, it was a tough 25 mile slog back to the South. Didn't ride very well that part, but I didn't explode like I did last time and finished with a better average speed.
