Note:
Westwood Park Century. Close to this map, but slightly different. Started the same, but after successfully climbing Fish Hill Road, followed that down to East Creek instead of taking Maple Hill and then climbed back up Warner Hill. On the North end, took Knapp Road to Scotland instead of looping out on Gabney. Thought that was a cue sheet error, but as it turns out it's not. There was an error at one time that got me lost out on the Res and I didn't want to repeat that, so live and learn. And near the end Cemetery Road is still closed, but the bridge work is 99.9% complete so I was able to go around the barrier and across it to get where I wanted to be.
A lot of good climbing today with really strange winds that shifted from SW to NW. Of course this largely worked against me for the most part. But I'm okay with it, as anytime I ride this and can successfully climb that 18% grade on Fish Hill, that's a win. |
