I've got to believe this is the last morning that will be this nice, even if it did drop a few degrees from when I started. Felt very good today with virtually no back problems. Riding a short ride yesterday to stretch out a bit appears to have been the correct decision.
First ride on new Huchinson Special Edition TdF 700x23 tires. I've had these for a couple of months as I bought them on sale. My previous Vittoria tires were still in ridable conditions thus I stuck with them. That was until yesterday when I found a pretty good slash in the front tire that had torn the side wall a bit. Considering I ride mostly in the dark wee morning hours, a flat or worse, a blowout wasn't something I was willing to risk. First impression is I like the way these roll, a very smooth ride. |
