So things have been quiet around here this week because I took the family and headed off to stay a few days at The Sagamore on Lake George in the Adirondacks.

I was very much in need of some time off, although I'm not sure that taking this past week off really was enough.  :(  And of course the weather was less than ideal as it rained most of the time.  But not to be deterred, we managed to have a nice time including going to Lake Placid (Olympic ski jumps ramps are really, really scary high!) and a gondola ride to the top of Whiteface Mountain.  We also took a cruise of Lake George on a paddlewheel steamboat.  Lots of nice, pricey real estate on the water —as usual.  And it wouldn't be a trip if I didn't make it to someplace like the Adirondack Pub & Brewery where I got to tip a couple new beers and pickup a glass and t-shirt.  Other than that, it was a lot of lounging around and swimming.  That's about all for now.  I should have some pictures posted when I get a chance to sort through them.
