PolarBlog V1.7.2 Released

PolarBlog V1.7.2 has been released.

Enhancements

  • None
Bug Fixes
  • The installer has been updated to address a problem with the blog administratori user being created with the same username and password as the database.  You can now (again) specify a separate username and password for your initial blog administration account.  This change only affects new installations.  If you are upgrading from V1.7.1 you do not need to run the install/upgrade utility to update to this release.
  • A minor fix was performed on the RSS feed generator as it was including a blank XSLT stylesheet link.
Configuration Changes
  • None
See the PolarBlog Changes file for more information.  Please see the PolarBlog Upgrading documentation for information on upgrading your installation.

PolarBlog Topic Icon

A couple weeks ago Rob suggested moving the PolarBlog topic icon to the right in the entry display header.  I've implemented this on my blog as well as in the development version.  Thus this will be the default in the future largely because I like it.  If you don't it will be very easy for you to override it in the CSS to move it back to the left side.  Thanks Rob!

As always, your comments are welcome.

MyClient V3.1.1 Released

I've released MyClient V3.1.1 to address two problems:

  • Standard MySQL connections were failing due to a wrong function being called.
  • On login failures, instead or returning to the login screen, a broken query windows was being displayed.
This is what happens when one hurries to get a release completed.  :(

PolarBlog ASP

A couple of weeks ago somebody was kind enough to enter a bug for PolarBlog.  Yeah, it was a real serious one "blog not installing".  With the delightfully witty description of "why are all these files using a php extension. Wheres the asp files ;)".

Yeah, I'm going to waste my time on ASP.  Please.  This one is so far beyond comical.  They even attached an intel "Evil Inside" logo.  Not sure what that's all about, but then again this person is apparently of tremendous intellect anyway.

(YAWN) Issue closed.
