Lunar Eclipse
So one of the things I said I would do this year was comment more on my photos instead of just leaving them in abstract. Thus far I haven't done that, until now…
So last night was my second attempt at photographing the moon. The first time was a very bright full moon that wound up as just a big white blob on a background. I guess I should have saved it and called in "Moon in Abstract". That probably would be worth millions now.
Anyhow, I took about a dozen shots in between the rather heavy but intermittent cloud cover we had. Fortunately the winds were pushing them along so I has a few opportunities. This shot is really the only one that turned out with any detail at all. Ironically, it's one of the earlier shots and was done hand-held before I put the camera on a tripod. Shooting pictures of the moon is something I'd like to do more, but I definitely need to learn more about how to do it. All in all, not too bad for someone who at best is an amateur photographer. :) February 21, 2008 @ 08:33 am | Category: PhotoBlog
