Area 51 relocated!
I see there's been a lot of talk about former president Obama saying he believes there are aliens out there. And I agree it seems pretty likely, but they are probably far more advanced than us and surely will stay away from our destructive ways. In any case, in this morning's paper here in Buffalo (Yes, I'm old and still read the local paper, although online now.) there's a syndicated article from the Chicago Tribune covering Obama's remarks during a recent podcast interview.
I'm unable to find the same syndicated article anywhere and related articles are largely behind those delightful paywalls. But in the version in my paper I found this nugget:
During the podcast, Obama hastened to add that Area 51, the part of New Mexico that the conspiracists for years have claimed is home to an underground bunker with alien remains and such, isn't a thing — "unless there is an enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States."
Hmmm....perhaps the aliens are already here as that's the only way I can fathom that Area 51 has moved from Nevada to New Mexico! I will explore this come summer as I will be in New Mexico so perhaps I can locate it's new location.
