The map for this ride isn't actually from this ride as I forgot to start logging it on my phone. Thus it was from the last time I rode this route last year. The only difference was then I rode East Canal and today I took the Erie Canalway Trail which wasn't open then. I would have been better off taking the road today as there were too many people on it!
Way too nice outside to not get out and ride even though it was windy. It was beautiful and about 70° when I left home, but got caught in a thunderstorm/downpour the last 20 minutes of the ride, but worth it!
About this time last year I put some effort into getting the 2120 roadworthy again only to hang it back up and not ride it at all last year. Being it was a little wet for last night's rain I decided to take it out today. And getting caught in the rain made it even a better decision as crappy weather was exactly why I wanted to get it rolling again.
The last ride on this bike was indoors on February 7, 2017 and the last ride outside was April 6, 2014. Thus it's been just shy of 6 years since this thing has seen pavement. |
