A bit longer ride that usual as I likely won't get to ride this weekend unless I can squeeze something in on Sunday. Had a very difficult time falling asleep even though I was quite tired last night, thus the short but good five hours of sleep. I've taken a couple of days off as I has the stomach flu Tuesday into Wednesday. And knowing today would be so warm I opted for an extra day of rest even though I could have ridden yesterday if necessary.
And it was a very nice morning although quite windy. I struggled quite a bit on the early part of the return trip. But the winds died down from over 16mph to about 9mph and that made it easier to salvage what likely would have been a brutal and disappointing ride. But I was quite spent even a couple of hours afterwards. |
