Townline/Killian/Irish/Tonawanda Creek/Robinson. A very warm muggy morning and I'm off like a shot! At least for the first couple of miles until I hit a pothole and flatted my rear tire. This is rapidly becoming the season of the flat for me as they seem to be occurring more and more frequently. A quick fix and I'm off again. Hmmm...lightning in the clouds off in the distance, better keep an eye on that. Doesn't seem to be coming this way as there were fewer flashes until I started heading north again. Looked like I could get a full ride in, but just as I passed Irish Road I saw direct strike straight down. Forget this, backtracked and wisely headed for home. Don't ever play with lightning! |
