The Guitarist

The Guitarist

I hear every note as you play the chord
Your everything and a little more
Fingers move up and down the board
An open mind when we tell you more
'Cause you're a —
Rock-N-Roll guitarist
You're plaing like we said
A rock-n-roll guitarist
Look at them shake their heads

And they don't know the story
'Cause they've never had the glory
They will never know the feeling
The feeling that burns in your head

Waves hit the rocks
The people, they get shocked
By the words of the news
All their friends are dead

So insecure
They're waiting for the words
Of someone to take them home
From social turbulence they turn
To hear your fingers explode

Rough Cut

Rough Cut

Late, late at night, when I just sit around
And try to unwind
I just write the lines as they show
Maybe finalize something else
'Cause this don't really matter
Just a brief design, sketched outline…
—A rough cut

Just a few ideas
That made the time
Not a final line, it's got no vital signs
It's just a rough cut

Hawaii Weather Converted

I've now converted the weather feeds on my Hawaii page to use my weather class instead of the RSS Weather feed I had been using.

The Adirondacks

So things have been quiet around here this week because I took the family and headed off to stay a few days at The Sagamore on Lake George in the Adirondacks.

I was very much in need of some time off, although I'm not sure that taking this past week off really was enough.  :(  And of course the weather was less than ideal as it rained most of the time.  But not to be deterred, we managed to have a nice time including going to Lake Placid (Olympic ski jumps ramps are really, really scary high!) and a gondola ride to the top of Whiteface Mountain.  We also took a cruise of Lake George on a paddlewheel steamboat.  Lots of nice, pricey real estate on the water —as usual.  And it wouldn't be a trip if I didn't make it to someplace like the Adirondack Pub & Brewery where I got to tip a couple new beers and pickup a glass and t-shirt.  Other than that, it was a lot of lounging around and swimming.  That's about all for now.  I should have some pictures posted when I get a chance to sort through them.
