The Cure - Pornography
Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear
AC/DC - Highway To Hell

The Cure - Pornography  (1982)
Definately the Cure, but very different than most of what they were doing at the time or would go on to do.  It's actually more like some of their very early work, but more polished.  A very, very dark album…music that makes you want to kill yourself.  I was really into this album when it came out, but it's been years since I've listened to it.

Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear  (1976)
Back in the late 70's I used to listen to an import music show on a Milwaukee radio station.  And on that show I heard the title track of this album by this band "Tangerine Dream" for the first time.  Little did I know that this would be the start of a lifelong fascination with their music and part of my now huge collection of Tangerine Dream music.

AC/DC - Highway To Hell  (1979)
The album that launched AC/DC to international stardom.  Finally the masses would know the thrashing sounds of this Australian powerhouse that I had been following for several years.  But then the untimely death of Bon Scott made their downfall seem most likely before they had reached the top.  How many bands survive losing their lead singer?  Amazingly, the band would go on to achieve even greater heights with Brian Johnson.  But this is Bon's seminal work.
